About Radio Nopal
Radio Nopal is best understood as a physical storefront-collective in San Rafael that happens to also be a radio station — the strongest impression is of an open-door community project built on borrowed/DIY technology (the Mensajito.mx system, costing under $100 to run), where nearly 40 rotating hosts of varying ages and backgrounds broadcast from behind a print-shop-fronted window. It reads as archival and communal before it reads as a "sound."
