Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information SCENES handles, why we use it and the choices available to you.
Last updated 27 August 2026
Information we collect
- Account information, such as your email address and basic profile details, when you sign in.
- An Account Avatar you choose, or your Google profile image when your SCENES profile has no prior avatar choice.
- The Radios and tracks you save, along with account and supporter status needed to provide SCENES.
- Basic product usage, device and performance information, including page visits, feature interactions and sanitized errors.
- Feedback you choose to send us, including your email address when you do not submit anonymously.
How we use information
We use this information to operate your account, play and organize Radios, save your choices, improve SCENES, prevent abuse, fix problems and reply to support requests.
Analytics, feedback and track scanning
We use PostHog for limited product analytics and sanitized web and native JavaScript error reports. Error reports keep the application file, line and release identity needed to fix a failure, but replace the error message and remove source context, page contents, searches, feedback, Radio and track names, email addresses, URLs, console values and breadcrumbs. We do not use session replay. Analytics and error events are retained for up to 12 months.
Written feedback is delivered to us through Resend and is not stored in the SCENES database. If you use voice feedback, audio is sent to ElevenLabs for transcription; SCENES does not keep the recording or transcript after the feedback is sent.
When you scan a playing track, a short sample of the Radio stream is processed by ACRCloud to try to identify it.
Services we rely on
SCENES uses service providers including Supabase for accounts and product data, Vercel for hosting, PostHog for analytics, Resend for feedback email, ElevenLabs for voice transcription, ACRCloud for track recognition, and Apple or Google when you choose their sign-in method.
Radio streams come from independent third parties. When you listen, your device connects to those providers and they may receive technical information such as your IP address under their own policies.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember app state and preferences, and measure basic product usage.
Retention and your choices
Account Avatars are stored at a durable public image address so they can appear consistently across SCENES and may later appear on a public Profile. Removing your photo deletes the current image and prevents SCENES from importing it again automatically.
We keep account and saved product data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations and protect SCENES. You can permanently delete your whole account in the native app after confirming a fresh email code, request deletion without the installed app, or ask us to access or correct your personal information. Account deletion removes your current and superseded Account Avatar objects and your PostHog person identity; minimized analytics events may remain for the retention period above without a retained SCENES person profile.
