About KCSB-FM

KCSB-FM is a genuinely long-running (founded in a dorm room in 1962 by student Bill Harrison, FCC-licensed by 1964) UC Santa Barbara college/community station recently marked in local press for "60 Years of 'People Powered' Community Radio." Its recognizable identity is that of a classic American freeform college station: student- and community-programmed, with a strong specific reputation for experimental and avant-garde music programming built into its schedule (e.g., a long-running strand tracing the lineage of experimental/avant-garde music across decades).
