About Barn Radio
Barn Radio (despite its name, primarily known as a physical club/listening space rather than a radio station in the traditional sense) is Portland's most editorially significant recent electronic-music venue: a Black-led, community-led, artist-led space that positions itself explicitly as reconnecting electronic music to its historical Black roots, and has rapidly become "an outpost of electronic music's international underground" (Portland Monthly). Codirected by Jasmine Beach and Cole Mitchell Johnson, it reads as mission-driven rather than merely a nightlife brand.
