Lower Grand Radio
Jazz and exploratory sounds from Oakland.
About Lower Grand Radio
Lower Grand Radio reads as a deliberately unpolished, deeply community-rooted Bay Area project — started from founder Alex Shen's garage in 2014-15 and grown into a studio space shared with a record shop (Cone Shape Top) in Oakland. The dominant impression is of a station that prizes access and first-time DJs as much as polish, explicitly valuing "curiosity, conversation and deep listening just as much as club energy."
